Originally constructed in 1835 as a modest garden retreat, the sprawling Rambagh Palace gradually evolved into a royal hunting lodge before becoming the principal residence of Jaipur’s last ruling Maharaja and the famously elegant Maharani Gayatri Devi. Known as the "Jewel of Jaipur," the estate transformed into India’s first luxury palace hotel in the 1950s to share and preserve its regal heritage. Situated within the palace's airy, arched corridors, The Verandah Café was historically the exact spot where royalty enjoyed late afternoon tea while gazing out at the sprawling grounds and the distant Moti Doongri fort.
